About the Exhibition
Coburg House Art Gallery invites submissions from ceramic artists and makers for our upcoming Coburg Kiln Exhibition 2026, celebrating the breadth, innovation, and material richness of contemporary ceramics.
We are looking for work that demonstrates the versatility and expressive potential of clay: from sculptural, experimental, and conceptual practices to finely crafted functional ware. This exhibition aims to showcase the diverse approaches and voices within ceramics today, highlighting both emerging and established makers who push the boundaries of form, material, and technique.
This is an opportunity to present work within the vibrant creative community of Coburg House Art Studios, one of Edinburgh’s most established artist-run spaces. The exhibition will run for three weekends and will be promoted through Coburg House’s public channels and networks.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome submissions across all ceramic disciplines, including but not limited to:
Sculptural ceramics exploring form, texture, and concept
Functional and design-led homeware such as cups, plates, vases etc
Installation or assemblage-based work using ceramic elements
Experimental and mixed-media works incorporating clay
We encourage applications from artists at all career stages who are confident in the presentation of their work and can install their own pieces within the gallery space.

A short artist bio or statement
Up to 10 images of recent work (JPEG format preferred), with titles, materials, dimensions, and prices
