Coburg Kiln 3 | Open Call

Applications are open from 1st of November for Coburg Kiln 3, our annual exhibition celebrating the breadth, innovation and material richness of contemporary ceramics.

We are looking for work that demonstrates the versatility and expressive potential of clay, from sculptural, experimental and conceptual practices to finely crafted functional homeware. The exhibition aims to showcase the many ways artists and makers are working with ceramics today, highlighting diverse approaches to form, material and technique.

We welcome applications from artists and makers at all stages of their careers.

What We're Looking For

We invite submissions across contemporary ceramics, including:

• Sculptural and Fine Art ceramics exploring form, material, process and conceptual ideas.

• Contemporary Craft celebrating innovation, skill and material exploration.

• Functional Ceramics and Homeware, including tableware, vessels, lighting and decorative objects.

• Installation and Site Responsive Work incorporating ceramic elements within larger spatial or multidisciplinary projects.

• Experimental and Mixed Media practices that use clay or ceramics alongside other materials and processes.

Whether your practice is rooted in traditional making or pushes the boundaries of the medium, we'd love to see your work.
