Edinburgh Modern Quilt Guild are a group of creative people who meet regularly to talk, learn and create using fabric as our medium. We were set up by world famous quilter Jo Avery and her friends.

We are not just makers, sewers and designers, we are people who feel really strongly about a whole range of issues, from global warming to parking in suburbia, from post office scandals to the vaccine crisis.

We have chosen to express our outrage in our chosen medium, fabric quilts.

Some of our artwork will make you smile, some will make you as cross as two sticks, and some will move you. 

These are personal statements by people who care, they will give you food for thought and discussion.
