Lynn Hanley was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, she has painted all her life.

She studied Printed Textile Design and worked as a freelance designer for several years before returning to her first love of painting. After living in Edinburgh for 30 years Lynn now lives in Gullane finding new inspiration in East Lothian. 

Lynn's cityscapes and seaside paintings show the influence of her textile background. Her use of gouache as the main medium combines with her love of colour and texture to create a unique style in her paintings. The colourful images are made into Prints, cards and giftware all made in the UK.
