SIMONE NOLDEN
Meet the Artist…
Trained as a gold and silversmith in Cologne/Germany 1990-1995; Simone graduated as a product and jewellery designer from the School of Applied Science Düsseldorf in 2002.
Based in the UK since 2002 she received a Craft Council Development Award and set up her business in 2004. Since then she has been working independently as a jewellery designer and maker.
Simone’s work is inspired by classical jewellery and elegant simplicity. The simplicity of her designs however often belies a subtle re-inerpretation or re-invention of a found object or traditional jewellery classic. Materials are typically gold, silver, precious stones and mixed media.
