Meet the Artist…
Gail is an artist, maker and designer based in Edinburgh. She has spent her life looking at colour, texture, composition and use of space. For Gail, the line between art and design is very blurred.
In all areas of her practice, Gail has come to work intuitively – whether she’s making a monoprint collage, designing a textile, making a functional object, working with type or creating an image.
Observation of nature is often Gail’s starting point. In terms of materials, she works with what she has around her: found pieces of wood, fabric and yarn from my stash, charcoal, pencils, acrylic, ink, oil bar.
